The Wow Factor

As a quintessential Taurus who knows how to appreciate some good comfort, there was no way I could not report on this. The hip and swanky W Hotel has recently opened a new facility in Hoboken, NJ. Minutes from the city, the majority of its 225 rooms boast sweeping views of the Hudson River and NYC skyline. The Jersey haters out there, aka everyone not from the underestimated state, should note that Hoboken is actually a vibrant, bustling city worth giving a shot. It’s mostly a young professional commuter city with a budding nightlife scene; in fact locals can now add the W’s Chandelier Room on the list of places to schmooze. And the commute? $1.75 in exchange for a Path ticket will get you out of the Garden State to Wall Street in 10 minutes and 34th Street in 20. Compare that to the $2.25 MTA has the nerve to charge you to move within the city, subjecting you to a jarring, standing room only ride, at the mercy of track fires, service changes, and train traffic.

Not to diss NY. I like it here. But I’m just saying.

The suites range from a cozy 280 sq ft with all the basic amenities to a lavish 1,088 sq ft 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo. Um, I’ll take that one please? Click here to check rates on all the rooms if you’re daring; I mean it is a luxury hotel.

Sick ass choreography Sundays!!!

This is one of the many occasions where I never heard of/disliked a song before but was inspired so much by a piece that I downloaded it immediately after. I mean, Girlicious? Seriously??
I just love the swag (for a lack of a better word; I HATE that word...) in this piece. Homegirl in the front during the first set is my fave. But the guys are adorable doing the arguably feminine moves during the second set.
Anywho, the choreographer goes by the name of Erik Saradpon and my amazing Google skills has uncovered that he is a member of staff of the Temecula Dance Company in San Diego, CA. You can view his fan page here.

I'm tired so...

...just listen to this.

I Want You - Fefe Dobson

Apparently Fefe Dobson is back and she's singing some really catchy stuff. This has been Tee approved. :)

Emmy's 2009 Eye Candy

I heart red carpet looks. Olivia Wilde from House in Marchesa.
It's like Winter Olympics meets Buring the Floor. Loves it!

Jennifer Love Hewitt of Ghost Whisperer in Max Azria
As usual she and the dress are adorable all though I wish she'd take a risk every once and a friggin while. Her choices rival that of a 16 year old Taylor Swift. :x

Jennifer Carpenter of Dexter in Zuhair Murad.
Not familiar with this actress but I'm loving this look. It makes me think of a nice tall flute glass of vintage champagne. Mmhm!

January Jones in Versace.

Stunning. This girl came to WORK. My fave look of the night hands down.

And now for my guilty pleasures...

Karina Smirnoff of Dancing with the Stars

I love me a luxe black dress. Just dip a dress with a little bit of edge in black, wrap it in some tulle, throw on some glitter and I'm d. It's totally the 12 year old in me but I don't care!

Mila Kunis of Family Guy in Monique Lhuillier

There was a much better picture but I can find it. ::frustrated:: I love how the dress isn't floor length, that would've made it way too predictable.

Sick ass choreography Sundays!!!

I already loved this song but this routine breathed new life into it after I stumbled across it months later.

The choreographer is Nick Demoura, seen dancing during the first set in the middle, and from what I read he tours the country to teach classes so catch him when you can!

Note to self...

...always plan my class schedule around my must-see-tv schedule. Last year I made the mistake of not doing so and took a Monday night class, causing me to continuously miss Gossip Girl and suffer from bitter withdrawal as a result. I practically lived in hiding that season trying to avoid spoilers.

Until I found this little gem. watch-gossip-girl.com is a site where you can, well, watch Gossip Girl. Any episode, any time. Sure you can watch episodes on cw.com as well, but if you're anything like me, you've missed so much that you need the option to see an episode from 2 months ago. cw.com isn't as kind as to offer you that much.

How to watch episodes:
The site will prompt you several times to download this 3rd party, crappy video player but it's not necessary. Instead:
1. Click on the episode you would like to view.
2. Scroll to the episode description and click "Start watching episode..."
3. A pop up will appear. Click "cancel".
4. A warning window will appear. Click "ok".
5. At the top of the page click "Press start then click here to watch"
6. Scroll a little and voila!

The list looks crazy long but it takes like 5 secs tops to get through. 3.5 if you have a particularly fast internet connection. Another bonus to this site is that it's really blog; there's an editor who comments regularly and you can discuss the big OMG moments with other die hard fans.

But in other news, I would like to give a HUGE shoutout into the universe to the two amazingly good Samaritans who caught up with me 2 city blocks later after I left my debit card in the ATM today. Seriously, I couldn't have been luckier. May God bless them with the same kindness they gave to me. :)

just listen.

So I have to admit, I've had this song on repeat for like, the past week. I love when a song haunts you a little bit; it makes it that much prettier.

Finally...

I got around to making an entry that actually involves what this blog is all about! LuxeLittleThings that make me happy. ^_^

Anna Sheffield is a jewelry designer based out of good old NYC and is popularly known for her trendy line Bing Bang. Originally from New Mexico, the premiere designer has recently released a new line for Target, Tar-jeh if you’re trendy ;), which is just as cute and affordable to boot.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of jewelry. I love to buy it, but I either always forget to put it on or more commonly lose it leaving me depressed for the rest of the day. Bing Bang, however, gets me every time. It’s like shopping in a serious eye candy store, you’re all “I want that, that, -- and that!” But then you see the price and quickly realize that as bad as your shopping habit is, you’re not yet at that point in your life where you can justify dropping $300 on a necklace that wouldn’t fall into the “fine jewelry” category.

When I heard Sheffield was coming out with a fashion jewelry line for Target, as was hugely skeptical. Because of what’s out there, I immediately associate fashion jewelry to stuff that looks cheap and way too costume-y. BUT, I was thrilled to find that Anna Sheffield for Target actually looks like fashion jewelry. Each piece is incredibly unique, vintage-y, and looks pretty HQ. Nothing screams
I found this at the bottom of a clear plexiglass bowl at Forever21. Isn’t it cute?!

The two pieces above I fell in love with and I’m thinking about copping. Even though the cuckoo clock ring kindaaaa looks like something a cat lady might’ve picked up at the local TJ Maxx jewelry counter. o_O I think it’s quirky though! The necklace is a locket btw. Bonus cuteness.

Be sure to learn more about all things Anna Sheffield by clicking the links below!

It’s Sick Ass Choreography Sundays!!!

Rofl. There is very little I enjoy more than hunting Youtube in search for choreography that just blows my mind. It’s just my thing. Check out today’s video, a piece by Lyle Beniga to “Nike Boots” by Wale.

I KNOW YOU SAW HOMEBOY IN ALL BLACK, SECOND FROM THE RIGHT. He was ripping that shit. Wooooo!
Google didn't offer me much background info on this very talented choreographer (who is seen dancing front and center) but you can follow him on Twitter here. eventhoughIdon'tsupportthatshit. XD
So Sunday’s are officially my favorite blog days. I'm seriously embarrassingly excited to post some more vids; I have enough faves to last us until 2010. Deuces!

tee.
